Our Company

Here at Harvest Award we believe in keeping things simple and providing our customers with healthy alternatives. This is why we developed our range of Harvest Award buttery spreads. We carefully balance natural vegetable oils and, natural colors and flavors to deliver a unique tasting creamy spread, great for anything from toast in the morning to replacing butter in your favorite recipes. We are a small, 100% American-owned company, and manufacture all our products in a little town called Rutherford, in Australia, two hours north of Sydney. Our purpose-built state-of-the-art-facility has some of the best manufacturing processes in the world. Our factory crushes all its own vegetable seed to produce oil for our buttery spread plant. This affords us greater control over the raw materials that go into the production of Harvest Award and make sure the product that ends up on in your fridge meets all your expectations. It also helps that the factory is nearly 100% American-owned so the profits come back here to the US.

Since the early 1980's the team at Harvest Award have worked on perfecting our formulations. This hard work has resulted in the range you see today at your favorite grocery store. Our products are naturally cholesterol free, contain no hydrogenated fats and virtually zero Trans fats (0.0g per teaspoon). We have managed to remove potassium sorbate, commonly used as a preservative by other companies and cut the salt too, which when consumed in excess is known to contribute to stroke and cardiovascular disease.

We are also conscious of our impact on the environment: we have designed our packaging to be more efficient in shipping and on shelf. Our team is also working towards manufacturing without palm oils from non-sustainable sources, a major cause of deforestation around the world. Our corn oil spread is the result of a lot of hard work and we can proudly say that it's 100% palm-oil free. Try it, we would love to hear your thoughts!

We feel our buttery spreads make a great alternative to regular butter and this is why;

  • Harvest award buttery spreads have 25% less fat than standard butters or margarines which contain over 80% fat!
  • Harvest Award buttery spread contains less than 25% saturated fats where standard butter contains more than 50%.
  • Harvest Award buttery spreads are naturally cholesterol free where butter contains 32mg per 1 teaspoon serve.
  • Harvest Award buttery spreads contain the exact same natural fats as butter. We just have a lot more of the healthier monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats while removing a lot of the saturated and Trans fats. Making Harvest Award a healthy alternative to butter!
